Shanghaied!

We've had many requests for this Seattle gem of burlesque, and what better time to have her than the last Sketchy's for one of our regulars who's been here since the beginning; pin-up artist and back-row heckler Kryzstof Nemeth (whose art was featured in Dr. Sketchy's first Anti-Art Show in New York). He even gets in on one of the poses. See how much we love our artists? But the real highlight of the night was the tantalizing temptress from Taipei herself, The Shanghai Pearl, who ironically generated MORE requests to have her pose again. With Shanghais perfect pinup pout and sense of humor (asian theme'd prizes were given out in take out boxes), we'll definitely revisit this opium den.

The Shanghai Pearl!

Artist Krysztof gets to help in one pose.

Holding still is hard work!

Ernie has the easy job.

Great shot of laidback Ernie.

Shanghai knows what artists want.

One of the best photos ever.

Loving the art, from simple sharpees to complex charcoals.

Ernie has hard job, but somehow he manages.

Look at those shoes!

More fabulous art...

Act II: Ernie gets comfortable.

Pearl indeed!

So adorable!

Drawing contest.

And the winner gets to take home matching silk asian art pieces. Ernie warns "It must leave with you".

No wonder she teaches at the Academy of Burlesque..such presence.

Art from a past Imagekind winner (you can buy this print).

Another fun night. Thanks everyone for coming!
